North Pasific diagnostic circulation model

Numerical diagnostic model, based on the finite element method is presented in the paper. Numerical experiments for the estimation of the role of wind and thermohaline factors in the North Pacific basin were carried out by the model. Diagnostic calculations both the integral stream function and 3-d baroclinic velocity fields were done with the use of the wind-stress, temperature and salinity data. The one-two degree resolution was used for the basin, with the tropical zone included until 30,5° S.
